Science Media Space was an online training course showing scientists how to use social media to communicate more effectively. The course was developed by Econnect and Bridge8 for the Inspiring Australia initiative
This course has now evolved into a 2-day intensive face-to-face workshop which will help you communicate your messages quickly and effectively using social media and web 2.0 tools.
Scientists with basic social media skills and who want to use social media more strategically and professionally would benefit from the workshop. Participants will learn communications strategy, blogging, social media and lot more.
During the workshop participants will create content based on their own research that can be used after the workshop. The content will be created within a private blog space and on social media platforms. All participants will receive individual feedback on their work during the workshop and afterwards.
Participants will have access to the workshop blog for up to 2 months after the course so they can continue to practice creating content as well as make the most of the extra learning resources we have made available.
